Bettendorf Public Library Joins MOBIUS

MOBIUS is excited to welcome Bettendorf Public Library!

Located along the Mississippi River, the Bettendorf Public Library has served its community since 1955. The Iowa library acts as a community resource and life-long learning champion to the City of Bettendorf’s population of around 40,000 with nearly 50% of its residents being library cardholders. Additionally, the Bettendorf Public Library shares its resources with another 160,000 residents of the greater Iowa Quad-Cities area as a member of the RiverShare consortium. BPL values literacy and promotes the joy of reading and learning for users of all ages. For that purpose, the Library’s collection is continually curated to match its municipality’s popular and educational interests and currently holds 186,000 physical items in order to support the Bettendorf Public Library’s yearly circulation of over 340,000 checkouts.

The library is part of Iowa’s Rivershare Consortium and will go live as a standalone Polaris library. They had a soft go live in February 2022. Bettendorf will become our 4th Iowa library to join our resource sharing network and our 10th public library!
