Job Summary
Benedictine College is opening a new, classically designed, state-of-the-art, 58,000-square-foot library in August 2026. As a Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts residential college, Benedictine College is dedicated to educating men and women within a community of faith and scholarship.
The library seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and service-oriented Associate Library Director. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include teaching a for-credit Information Literacy course, providing classroom instruction, and conducting outreach to students and faculty. This individual will also facilitate the faculty library committee and serve on the Dean’s Council, along with other committees as needed.
Qualifications include a master’s degree from an ALA-accredited institution; 3–5 years of professional experience in an academic library setting with teaching responsibilities; knowledge of integrated library systems; and familiarity with academic library databases, Canvas, and LibGuides.
