Summary

This paraprofessional position works within the close-knit team of the Reference Services Division of the State Library.

This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the physical collections of the State Library, including processing incoming and withdrawn materials, serials, weeding, and book repair. This position processes library card applications and handles the account renewal process. This position also serves as the primary backup for all circulation activities, including MOBIUS and traditional interlibrary loan.

Qualifications

Experience in libraries, especially circulation and technical services, is preferred.

Ability to learn quickly, perform accurate work, and work independently.

Two years of college coursework or equivalent general office work experience is required.

Benefits

This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no evening or weekend hours. All state holidays are observed. Benefits are provided through the State of Missouri. Potential monthly salary range is $2,600.00 - $2,791.00. Post will remain open until filled.
